On 27 April 2026, the Municipality of Lequile will host the Kick-off Meeting of the OASYS project, a cross-border cooperation initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental innovation across the South Adriatic region.

Partners from Italy, Montenegro and Albania will meet to present the project’s objectives, work plan and joint activities.

OASYS will address a common challenge in the area: small municipalities often lack the resources and technical capacity needed to advance the green transition. The project will respond by creating an interregional network to share knowledge, promote green solutions and engage local communities and schools.

Planned actions include simple tools to assess local sustainability progress, a collaborative web platform and the pilot of a Sustainable Urban Park in Lequile.

With a total budget of €871,554.96, the project will involve four partners: the Municipality of Lequile (Lead Partner, Italy), Papillon 1 (Montenegro), the Municipality of Rrogozhina (Albania), and the Municipality of Gambatesa (Italy).
