The DecarBOATS project, co-financed by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme 2021–2027, will hold its International Conference on 26 June 2026, from 9:30 to 16:00, at Hotel Cattaro in the Old Town of Kotor, Montenegro. The event addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing the South Adriatic area: the continued reliance of small boat mobility on fossil fuels and the need to develop scalable decarbonisation solutions.

The conference programme includes contributions from all project partners and stakeholders involved in the project. Topics covered include boat electrification, renewable-based charging systems, hydrogen fuel cells, and energy monitoring and management. 

The day concludes with a round table on the future of small boat decarbonisation in the South Adriatic, bringing together project partners and stakeholders to discuss findings, challenges and the way forward.
